NIAGARA FALLS AMERICANS SEASON RECAP & EVENTS TO COME
Niagara Falls, NY- The Niagara Falls Americans closed out their 2nd season at Sal Maglie Stadium in the PGCBL. The Americans finished in 3rd place marking their first ever playoff birth. CAN-USA Sports has announced events for the fall for Sal Maglie Stadium as well.
As the season kicked off the Americans staff walked in the Niagara Falls Little League Parade. Niagara Falls finished 3rd in the West Division of the PGCBL giving them their first ever playoff spot in just their 2nd season. The Americans had 6 players selected to the All-Star team this season. The franchise also had it’s first player drafted into the MLB as well (P – Matt Barr) by the Minnesota Twins 149th overall. Throughout the season the Americans hosted over 400 youth baseball & softball buddies during the year playing catch pre-game before games at Sal Malgie Stadium. The Americans participated in Challenger Division Baseball for an incredible day as player & coach buddies, assisting players with physical and intellectual challenges throughout the day.
The Niagara Falls teamed up with over 14 non-profits or charity organizations helping spread awareness and raise funds for their causes. The Americans staff & players helped out as waiters for the annual Heart Love & Soul Dinner in June as well. This season the Americans teamed up with several community programs & non-profits including Heart Love & Soul with a banned food drive, Military Appreciation Night, Native American Heritage Night, Mental Health Association in Niagara County, & a pet food drive to benefit Niagara County SPCA.
The Americans gear up for their 3rd season at Sal Maglie stadium in 2026. Sal Maglie will be host to D’youville & SUNY Niagara baseball for the fall. www.niagarafallsamericans.com has a full listing of home games for both teams.
