Sal Maglie Stadium was awarded several improvements from the City of Niagara Falls this past off-season. The stadium has a brand-new electronic message board right off Hyde Park Blvd to promote upcoming games & community events. The City of Niagara Falls has also installed a new sound system. Sal Maglie Stadium received a new digital scoreboard as well. “The City of Niagara Falls & Mayor Restaino have done nothing but make life easier to get Sal Maglie Stadium back to life since we took over the venue in 2 years ago the improvements keep coming and they are paying off not just from our attendance for the Americans either. We hosted the ECC (D2 Baseball) Tournament, High School Baseball Playoffs, & several other new events.” – Owner Robbie Nichols. In total last year Sal Maglie hosted over 135 events.
Last season the Americans clinched their first ever playoff berth in just their 2nd season. The Americans fell short of the West Division Championship round losing to the Jamestown Tarp Skunks.
