David Harris Named PGCBL West Division Player of the Week

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Niagara Falls Americans outfielder David Harris was named the

Week Seven Player of the Week for the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) West

Division on Monday afternoon.

Harris, who was also selected as a PGCBL West Division Midseason All-Star earlier in the year,

has recorded a hit in each of the last 16 games in which he has had an at-bat, and has reached


base safely in 21 straight. The Essex, Vt. native batted .471 during the week with two doubles, a

triple, four RBIs and five runs scored.

A rising junior at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., Harris is hitting .463 this season for the

Americans, the second-highest average in the PGCBL. He has also recorded a multi-hit game in

five of his last six contests.

Harris has played all three outfield positions for Niagara Falls this season and ranks second on

the Americans with 14 stolen bases.
